How does nondisjunction occur in meiosis

    Non disjuntion occurs during prophase 2 in meiosis 2. one pair of sister chromatids don not separate from each other. As a result three cell have normal haploid chromosomes but one cell have extra chromosome while other have one less chromosome. It lead to the phenomenon of non dis junction.
