When a plant cell, such as one from a tulip leaf, is submerged in a hypertonic solution, what is likely to occur?

    It will dry out or plasmolyze. Hypertonic solution are always, by default, favored by water. This means that plant cell moisture will be drawn out by the hypertonic solution and will result to the contraction of the protoplast of the cell.
