Unlike humans, plants produce oxygen during photosynthesis. This is the only way to measure the rate of photosynthesis (the rate at which oxygen is produced); since, ideally, photosynthesis is the process where green plant produce their food using carbondioxide and water in the presence of light (sun light) to produce their food. The produced bubbles, Oxygen, gives us an idea about the rate at which photosynthesis occurs.
