    The cause is a tick-borne disease,

    According to the symptoms, its certainly a Lyme disease.

    The bullseye (also called erythema migrans) around a tick bite leads to a bacterial infection: Borrelia burgdorferi.

    Concerning the tick, it's from the genus Ixodes.
