Increasing intensity and/or duration of PRT activities too rapidly (too much - too soon) violates the principle of progression.

Progression is the systematic increase in the intensity, duration, volume, and difficulty of PRT activities.

If correct PRT progression isn't followed the Soldier is unable to adapt to the stress of coaching, the Soldier is then unable to recover, that results in over-training or the chance of injury.
