The correct answer is asexual reproduction produces offspring that are genetically identical to the parent. Mothers aphides are called fundatrices and their reproduction typically does not involve males (parthenogenesis). As a result of this eggs are parthenogenetically produced without meiosis which means that the offspring are clonal to their mother.
