Explain why anatomists describe the adductor magnus as a muscle composed of two parts: an adductor part and a hamstring part.

    Answer: Adductor part originates from pubis and goes to linea aspera of femus more superiorly. The hamstring starts from ischical tuberosity and goes to adductor tubercle of femur.
