In an accident at a factory, some nitric acid was split. Name a substance, when added in excess, that would neutralise the acid without leaving an alkaline solution. Explain why

    Ammonia because it has a ph of 11 and nitric acid has a ph of 3 so they would mix to a ph of 7 which is neutral
