    The other two enzymes are: Glutamate dehydrogenase and Glutamine synthetase

    Ammonia is a chemical that is produced by the bacteria in the intestines and body cells while processing protein. If there is a high level of ammonia the liver may not function properly. The body acts on ammonia as a waste product.
