DNA is formed of deoxyribose sugar while RNA is formed of ribose sugar. DNA is fomed of the nitrogen bases (A-T-C-G) while RNA is formed of the nitrogen bases (A-U-C-G). DNA is found in the nucleus while RNA in the cytoplasm. DNA persists in the nucleus while RNA is hydrolyzed and eliminated after finishing its work. DNA has a function to carry the genetic information while RNA has 3 types: mRNA carries the information needed for protein synthesis, tRNA transports the amino acids to the ribosome in the translation phase of protein synthesis, and rRNA which plays a role in the synthesis of the ribosome.
