When water diffuses into a plant cell and builds up firm pressure that is called?

This is turgor pressure. This is the mechanism by which a plant and its cell walls can maintain its rigidity. The movement of water between the cell walls and the inside of the plant allows for pressure to build up due to this diffusion, leading to a stiffness on the part of the plant.
