The structure of a substrate P strongly resembles substrate Q. In an experiment, By mistake P was used instead of Q as a substrate for the enzyme, Q-ase. The results obtained were identical to the results that would have been obtained using substrate Q. Why did substrate P work in place of substrate Q?
