What would you call a prokaryotic archaea that occupies a habitat consisting of a low ph? (you may have to think back to your acids and bases.) ?

    Acidophile. These organisms have evolved to handle extreme environments that others cannot. An Acidophile has the ability to survive a low pH, such as sulfuric pools and geysers. They get their name by combining the word acid and phile, which means to love.
