A chimpanzee has 48 chromosomes in its somatic cells. what is the haploid number of chromosomes in the chimpanzee?

    There is 2 sets of chromosomes in a regular/somatic cell. In this case chimpanzee have 48 total in each regular cell which means their sex cells/haploid cells have half of that which would be 12 chromosomes. (Haploid cells only have one set of chromosomes)
