Jack threw several objects into a pond. One was a soccer ball that floated. One was a small metal marble that sank. One was a long tree branch that partially floated. Explain why two of the objects floated and only one sank.

    The two objects that floated were less dense than water. where as the marble was very compact and more dense than water causing it to sink

    Metal is heavy while a branch can be brittle and not weight anything and the Ball is full of air and it will float
