Dolphins and fish have similar body shapes. is this feature more likely a homologous or analogous trait?

    This trait is mostly an analogous one. The evolutionary paths of fishes and dolphins are quiet separate as one is a strictly aquatic being and the other is a mammal. As for the shape thing, it is mostly due to the aquatic lifestyle similar to the fish that dolphins adapted over the time.
