In all patients, what locations should be checked for skin color?

Nurses should check for skin color changes on patients in the following locations; the mucous membranes of the mouth, the conjunctiva, and the sclera. These are regions of low pigmentation and therefore, are easy to use in health diagnosis even in patients with deep skin color pigmentation.
