Eli is an extravert. there is some evidence that people like eli seek stimulation because their normal brain arousal is relatively low. for example, extraverts:

Given that their behavior is not inhibited like that of introverts, extraverts can do pretty much whatever they want to because they will not be inhibited by shyness or similar things which may bother introverts.
