    The phases of the general adaptation syndrome are alarm, resistance, and exhaustion. Alarm Phase: During the alarm phase, the Fight or flight response is triggered by the brain this in turn will effect multiple organ systems, such as but not limited to nervous system, digestive system, and hormonal system.
