    Trees need a couple things in order to grow!

    Sunlight

    Fresh air

    Soil

    Water/rain

    From the soil, the Earth, the Sun, the rain.

    Plants absorb nutrients and water through their roots, also photosynthesis - the process by which plants create their fuel - occurs in the leaves.
