What are three environmental hazards associated with the process of extracting fossil fuels?

    Due to the ever-increasing economy all over the world, the need to extract fossil fuel also increases. Despite the benefits it could give to sustain various industries, it poses the following environmental hazards.

    (1) Limited resources - there will come a time that these energy-producing substance will be exhausted since these are remnants of animals and plants buried underneath millions of years ago. Therefore, it is non-renewable.

    (2) Pollution - converting these fossil fuels into energy produces hazardous pollutants that can affect our air and water. It is also a threat to our environment and most of all to our ecosystem.

    (3) Collection Accidents - it does not only pose danger to our environment and our future, but also among the workers who collect them from beneath especially that it is gathered through mining.
