The basic structural property of DNA is divided into two categories which is the conformational and the physicochemical properties. The conformational properties are the static DNA resulting in slide, rise and shift or roll, twist and tilt difference between sequential base pairs and variation in width and depth of both minor and major groove. While the physicochemical properties are the dynamic potential of the DNA which has permitted energy kept within several conformations.
