Myeloid hemopoiesis is the process that takes place in the red bone marrow of an adult, it forms new cellular components of the blood. These components include erythrocytes, white blood cells, platelets and other blood cells. The process is carried out by the hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) which are multipotents and are capable of self proliferation.
