Explain why increasing extracellular k + reduces the net diffusion of k + out of the neuron through the k + leak channels.

    Increasing the extracellular potassium ions reduces the net diffusion of potassium ions out of the neuron through the potassium ions leak channels because the concentration of the extracellular potassium ions is high that would cause it to create an obstacle for potassium ions from diffusing out the cell membrane.
