The primary functions of cartilage are to reduce friction between articular surfaces, absorb shocks, and reduce stress on joint surfaces. where in the human body would you expect to find cartilage?

    Cartilages have a distinct characteristic of being flexible as in 'rubbery'. It is made of elastic tissue, hence, you are not able to control its movement as it does not have muscles. Examples of these on your body are found on your ears, nose, rib cage and throat area.
