How are linked genes different from sex-linked genes?

    Linked genes are genes that are inherited together with the other gene (s) because they are located on the same chromosome. Sex linked genes are located on the sex chromosome (X or Y). Expression of these alleles is related to the chromosomal sex of the individual.
