When a light ray is striking the surface of the earth, the following factors would make the light ray more likely to be absorbed:

    1. Dark colours.

    2. Rough surfaces.

    3. The high angle of the sun and

    4. Summer season.

Dark colours always absorbed light while light colours reflect it. Rough surfaces absorbed light much more than smooth surfaces and the high angle of the sun increased the absorption of light on the earth surface.
