Scientists have found that all living things, from bacteria to humans, rely on genetic codes to direct the functions of their cells. these genetic codes are contained in strings of nucleotides and have very similar structures. which hypothesis for the origin of life on earth is supported by this evidence

    The hypothesis for life on earth is that life originally started from prokaryotes when the first cell is made due to suitable conditions and presence of starting materials in the atmosphere to form the first cell. Subsequently the unicellular cell evolved and engulfed other cells to form more complex cells which is what we know we eukaryotic cells. An example of this would be the mitochondria and chloroplast which have their own DNA which suggests that these organelles were once unicellular structures which were taken up by a cell to form what we know as the plant cell
