In a newly discovered organism, the cells in its body have 16 chromosomes. If this organism reproduces sexually, the daughter cells created after a body cell undergoes meiosis would have [x] chromosomes.

    If it goes through meiosis then it would be a haploid cell. Which means it will be in half so 8 chromosomes.
