Hypertension also referred to as high blood pressure is a long term medical condition in which blood pressure in the arteries is elevated. Interventions by a nurse on older hypertensive patients includes; Advising the client to limit his/her salt intakes, teach the client how to manage stress and also instruct the client to stop smoking if the client smokes.
