What was the major objective of public health nutrition advice during the first 75 years of the past century (1900's) in the U. S.?

    The main concern of health authorities was to combat malnutrition and educate people about consuming all of the nutrients necessary for their bodies to maintain themselves in a healthy manner. Other objectives of these authorities was to improve the sanitation conditions, prevent and reverse industrial damage to health and decrease infant mortality rate.
