    FDA issued a black box warning about the use of Tacrolimus and the development of cancer in animals and humans.

    Tacrolimus is a topical drug used for dematitis. It is a chronic condition which the skin becomes inflammed, red, itchy. The inflammation is caused by the activation of immune function of the patient. Tacrolimus is used as topical agent to suppress the function of immune system and inflammation by inhibition of calcineurin. This is an enzyme needed for T cell production. T cells plays a big factor in the activation of immune system.
