Why do we respire anaerobically?

    Much less energy is released duringanaerobic respiration than during aerobicrespiration. This is because the breakdown of glucose is incomplete. Anaerobic respiration produces an oxygen debt. This is the amount of oxygen needed to oxidise lactic acid to carbon dioxide and water

    Produces little ATP energy and gives toxic chemicals instead. Causes cramps and huffing and puffing
