Light is the stimulus in this experiment. Plant grows towrds the direction of light. This phenomenon is known as phototropism. The response of the plant towards light is positive phototropism and against light is negative phototropism. Here it is positive phototropism. This response is due to plant hormone known as auxin which found in the meristem of growing tip.
