Leptin is a protein produced by fat cells and monitored by the hypothalamus. And whenever Leptin is in abundance, it causes the brain to increase metabolism. Metabolism means the capacity of the body to work. If Leptin is produced in abundance, it enables the mind to increase the body metabolism.

the protein is leptin. the leptin protein is coded by the gene LEP gene and is produced by the white adipocytes. Leptin protein is hormon in nature and it is involved in regulation of body weight. as more fat accumulate in adipocytes more leptin is produced. increase in leptin indicate that fat stores are inlcreases and there is a need to burn more to check the weight. when more leptin is released it binds to its receptors located in hypothalamus part of the brain. this part controls hunger and once leptin binds to its receptor it stimulates a series of chemical reactions than leads to feeling of fullness
