    A network of interlacing nerve fibers in the peripheral nervous system (PNS) is called the nerve plexus. It is a branching network of nerves. It consists of efferent and afferent fibers that are results of the anterior rami of blood vessels and spinal nerves. These nerves are for motor and sensory functions.
