Red blood cells are unable replicate as they do not have a core or nucleus when they become anucleate. The non existence of core causes the RBC to convey oxygen without itself devouring it. This aides for better and more proficient transport of oxygen which is it's essential capacity.

The anucleation is the state of absence of nucleus in the cells. red blood cells do not have nucleus which gives them large room to house enough hemoglobin. this increases the affinity of erythrocytes to oxygen making sure that there is enough oxygen in the body. Therefore, the consequence of these cells is that they can not divide.
