Since it is hard to tell a homogenous mixture by looking at its appearance, this would be C separation by density.

I would say magnetism bc even with differing densitys particles can still be mixed from each component. If you use a mangnet (assuming 1 of the components have magnetic properties) this will work. This technique I know (witnessed in a lab) to work.
