The vertebrates such as the Anthropoda & Annelida are similar in their segmented bodies, brains and complete digestive systems while

Mollusks, annelids, and arthropod are protostomes and Echinoderms and chordates are deuterostomes. Anthropoda and echinodermata have exoskeleton and endoskeleton respectively.

    Explanation:

Two Invertebrate phyla using developmental characteristics

    Compare:

Annelida (earthworms, leeches, marine worms) segmented body, primitive brain. example is earthworm and Arthropoda (insects, spiders, crustaceans, centipedes) have segmented bodies & brain. Echinodermata (sea stars, sea urchins, sand dollars, sea cucumbers) and Nematoda (roundworms) have complete digestive systems.

    Contrast:

Mollusks, annelids, and arthropod are protostomes and Echinoderms and chordates are deuterostomes. Arthropoda (insects, spiders, crustaceans, centipedes) have Exoskeleton (External) while Echinodermata (sea stars, sea urchins, sand dollars, sea cucumbers) have Endoskeleton (Internal)

    NOTE:

    Protostomes and Deuterostomes

Most invertebrates (and higher animals) can be placed in one of two groups based on how they develop as embryos. The two groups are called protostomes and deuterostomes. The organisms in the two groups have different ways of forming the coelom and mouth.
