Aerobic respiration occurs in the presence of oxygen.

    C6H12O6 (glucose) - > 2CH3CH2OH (ethanol) + 2CO (carbon dioxide) + energy

Anaerobic respiration get energy by breaking down glucose in the complete absence of oxygen.

    C6H12O6 (glucose) - > 2CH3CH (OH) COOH (Lactic acid) + energy.
