Chordae tendineae are the tendons that connect the valves to the muscles.

    Explanation:

The chordae tendineae are cords of connective tissue that have the function of connecting the tricuspid valve and the bicuspid valve to the papillary muscles of the heart. Its tendon fibers are very resistant (approximately 80% collagen) and in the ventricular systole they are tense, preventing the leaflets from pouring into the atria and impeding the blood from returning to the corresponding atrium again.
