Microbes play an important role in baking process.

    Explanation:

Saccharomyces cereviciae is the yeast used in bread making. The dough for bread making is made usually of wheat. The dough contains carbohydrates on which the yeast acts upon.

The yeast converts the carbohydrates into simple sugars and this process releases alcohol and carbon dioxide. This carbon dioxide causes the bread to puff up making it fluffy.
