Cellular respiration can be described as a process by which cells of the body make ATP for usage. The cells convert sugars like glucose and oxygen into water and carbon dioxide along with the generation of ATP.

If the carbohydrate consumption becomes lower, then the person will not be able to carry out enough cellular respiration. As sugars gives an immediate source of energy, hence the immediate supply of energy will become depleted.
