It would take bacteria 40 minutes to kill 5 of these people (2x5.5x10^5 = 1.1 x 10^6) since the amount of the bacteria reaches over LD50 treshold which is 1 x 10^6. Lets also assume bacteria continue to grow, risk of their death increases as the bacteria doubles so they can all eventually die from this bacteria.
