An error in nucleic acid is the cause of hemophilia. Explanation: Hemophilia is characterised by uncontrollable bleeding due to lack of proper blood clotting. It is caused due to mutation in gene sequence, that codes for the protein responsible for blood clotting factor. Hemophilia is a sex-linked recessive disorder and an effected father will have all his daughter as carrier and about half of his son will have the disease. An hemophilia patient must be careful about any wounds or cut to avoid excessive blood loss.
