    A phospholipid bilayer is another term to refer to a cell/plasma membrane. Also this should be a given, but just so you know, your phospholipid bilayer/cell membrane is comprised of lipids and protein channels. And in if you don't know these protein channels are used mainly for facilitated diffusion.
