A punnet square can be described as a diagram which illustrates the outcomes of a cross. In order to grow more number of tall and yellow flowers the farmer should breed plants carrying both these traits with one another. The result of such a cross will produce majority of the flowers to be tall and yellow. Also, tall and yellow both are dominant traits hence there will be more chances of these traits to occur in the flowers.

A dominant trait can be described as a trait which has the ability to mask the effect of the recessive trait. On the other hand, a recessive trait can be described as a trait which gets masked by a dominant trait.
