The enzyme catalase denatures and its structure disturbed

    Explanation:

    Structure of catalase:

It is made up of four polypeptide chains of amino acids Each chain contains about 5oo amino acids. When a molecule of hydrogen peroxide enters into the active site of a catalase it acts with amino acids to breakdown the hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen.

    Effect of Temperature:

It the temperature raises beyond the optimum level, the enzyme catalase denatures and its structure is disturbed.
