The short plant with the terminal flowers is the recessive characters.

    Explanation:

Most likely the first parent of this plant had dominate trates because if crossed with a petagree chart it would look something like this making all the children have the dominate trates:

    A. A

    a. Aa Aa

    a. Aa Aa

    Answer:short plant with terminal flowers

    Explanation:

Recessive gene are genes that are not expressed in the phenotype of an individual while Dominant gene is a gene that is expressed either in homozygous (AA) or heterozygous form (Aa).

Since short plant with terminal flowers is not visible in the offspring it means the gene controlling the traits is recessive i. e not being expressed and the Tall with axial flowers is the dominant gene that is being expressed.

A gene is the functional unit of inheritance coding for a polypeptide.

In the successive generation if the offspring are allow to intermate segregation will occur and some short plant with terminal flowers can be seen according to mendelians findings.
