    Explanation:

    The new molecule of DNA is synthesized by using the already existed molecule of DNA as a template and this process is called DNA replication.

    DNA is a double-stranded molecule therefore both the strand act as the template strand. The new DNA molecule is complementary to the template strand therefore the daughter strands are identical to the parent strand.

    There are four bases adenine, guanine, cytosine and thymine which makes the base sequence of DNA. Adenine makes complementary base pairing with thymine and guanine makes complementary base pairing with cytosine.
